Age & ID
- You must be 21 or older to purchase or possess.
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required every time you buy.
Purchase & Possession Limits
- Up to 2 ounces of flower.
- Up to 16 grams of cannabis extract.
- Up to 800 milligrams of edibles per transaction.
- You may possess up to 2 ounces in public at any time; more is allowed at home in a locked container.
Home Cultivation
- Adults may grow up to 6 mature plants and 6 immature plants per person.
- Maximum 12 mature plants per household.
- Plants must be in a private space not visible from public areas.
Where You Cannot Consume
- Public places (parks, sidewalks, restaurants).
- Federal land (national forests, parks, monuments — the Sandia Wilderness is federal).
- Vehicles — even as a passenger.
- Anywhere smoking tobacco is prohibited.
Driving & Cannabis
- Never drive impaired — New Mexico has strict DUI laws.
